Recent bathroom colour trends are favouring rich, dark shades like deep grey, charcoal, plum, aubergine or ink tones. But that’s not the only bathroom colour trend that’s currently popular. More and more customers veer away from white and cream coloured bathrooms and move towards pastel tones.
For many of us, the bathroom is the first and last room we spend time in every day – and it’s surprising how much of an impact it can have on our mood. Especially in the winter, when it gets light later and dark earlier and the sunshine can be in short supply. A cheerful, uplifting bathroom can brighten our mornings and help us relax at night – and during this time of year, cheerful and uplifting is a good thing to have.

So for this week’s blog, we have collected a few tips on how to turn your bathroom into a perfect space to tackle the winter blues.
Valentine’s Day falls in the middle of the week this year and you know how it is – you’d really love to do something romantic, but the love of your life is rushed off her feet between a super busy job and looking after the family. The last thing on her mind is finding a babysitter, getting dolled up after a long day and going out to spend time in yet another busy place.
Why are so many bathrooms a symphony in white on white? There are a number of very good reasons, from a visual sense of cleanliness to giving a feeling of space. But stylish bathrooms, even small ones, don’t have to be all white. And neither do they have to be bland and boring.
Gone are the days when tiles were simply squares and only came in one or two sizes. Today, tile manufacturers offer a raft of sizes from 30mm x 30mm square to 3000mm x 1500mm rectangles, which are a good bit taller than most of us! Not to mention mosaic tiles in a range of shapes and sizes and beautiful decorative hexagonal tiles.

While it's great to have so much fabulous choice, it can make picking the right tiles for your bathroom a little bit of a tricky task. But while colour and style are very much personal choices only you can make, you can come to us if you need help with choosing the right sized tile!

So does it matter what size your tiles are?
Everyone loves a beautiful, spacious bathroom – but short of moving walls, we often have to make do with the space we have. You may be able to skip the wardrobe in the guest bedroom and opt for a chest of drawers to give your guests more space, but leaving out the sink or bath in your bathroom is not really an option.

Fortunately, there are ways to make the most of the space you have available and they don't involve having to move the walls.
